History
Founder Jeffrey Allen Thies of San Luis Obispo, California established
Thiessen Design in 1997. Jeff started out building various works of
art out of a garage with minimal equipment. Initially, Jeff’s designs
transcended from the medieval period, where he incorporated rough cut
edges to sharp pointed objects with minimal clean up. Eventually his
work would reflect modern to post modern designs and craftsman style
design concepts that include more organic shapes and fluidity. Thiessen
Design first showcased its art at a local hair salon and found that
not only did the public love his work, but they encouraged Jeff to persevere
and expand his business. Due to the growing demand for the work, Jeff
was motivated to relocate his business adventure to a larger commercial
space in San Luis Obispo. Today, Jeff is still operating his business
and is continually striving to create new art oriented pieces while
perfecting concepts that adhere to customer needs. It is his passion
to develop only quality and unique products that will enhance any area
or décor, while remaining timeless in concept.
